A video vlog of the newest animal videos released on YouTube. Primate videos like the #HairlessChimp Jambo from the Twycross Zoo, Gorilla videos from UK and Abroad. Orangutan and Bonobo videos. New videos or #shorts every day of the week!
For this week, a brief pause from Dudley Orangutans - but they’ll be back next week! Make sure to turn on caption for more info. Do you remember this orangutan baby? Well, this is how he turned out. When he was a baby, watch his story ?? • Orangutan Babies Kayan And Basuki
Look at the young Orangutan Basuki with his mum and then his shenanigans by the window and then back to Jan 2026. Apparently, you can never have too much wood wool. He keeps going back for more, building it up piece by piece until it becomes a full outfit. Off he goes again, straight back to the pile.
*Orangutan Sprout is having a wacky moment. She sits in the hammock, tissue paper over her head, arms stretched out wide. Showing her teeth, she suddenly slides into the hammock. I don’t know how many times I’ve watched this now and I can't stop laughing😂. *
She sits back up and puts all the tissue paper over her head. She loves putting things on her head, anything she can put on it, she will, even her son 👉 • A Mother's Quirks - Sprout's Unique A...
Mum, Jazz, is munching on a primate ball.
Her daughter is heading back to the hammock, jumping into it towards her son, Joe, who’s hiding in the dip. They both play with the tissue, and as Sprout holds a piece, Joe quickly steals it and turns around.
Down the bottom, Jim is trying to get his dad interested in the tissue. Sprout tries out more hat variations and then a duck impression? Jim climbs up to her to see what she’s up to. He waits for his moment and just like Joe snatches the piece of paper out of Sprout’s mouth, and turns away.
*Chester Zoo chimpanzees use sticks as tools to retrieve treats from logs and walls. *
The staff at Chester Zoo threw a bunch of sticks onto the Chimpanzee Island for the chimpanzees to use as tools. There are several places with holes in the walls, both inside and outside, and holes in logs where they use sticks to retrieve treats. Alice and her daughter Annie both grabbed a stick to go inside. Alice's swelling is at an all-time high. When you look at the previous videos, it was quite big then, and people thought it wasn't normal. For her, it seems normal and never seems to bother her, and the males love her for it. That’s Chimpanzee behaviour for you—resilient and adaptive.
Eric has his stick as well. Zee Zee is using hers in the logs with her little boy Jeff by her side, demonstrating a valuable interaction between mother and child. Stevie, her daughter, joins in. She sticks the stick in the log and waits.
It has been a long-standing tradition at the zoo to name baby chimpanzees after famous rock and pop stars, helping to raise much-needed awareness for this charismatic species. Previous names have included Dylan (Bob), Alice (Cooper), and Annie (Lennox), an educational practice that connects animals with popular culture to increase visibility for conservation.
