Silverback's Heartwarming Moments With His Baby Daughter

Thandie the little baby gorilla is cuddling into Dad's foot. A close-up shot shows her beautiful face. His daughter continues to play around him while he's having a bit of a snooze. Back at dad's leg she cuddles into him and plays with the straw. When dad suddenly awakes, he moves her closer to his face. There Thandie touches her dad on his face. It's so wonderful to see the big Silverback keeping calm and letting his daughter play. Thandie is definitely a daddy's girl! Matadi gets himself a stick and Thandie grabs hold of it with her hands and feet. Matadi watches his daughter while having a nibble on the stick. A sweet moment when Matadi gently strokes her with his finger. Mum Mayani is sitting next to the two. The interaction between the two really gives you happy tears.:-) I was enjoying the moment so much when unfortunately mum decided to take Thandie away from dad, pulling her towards her and then she grabbed the stick as well. The Silverback moves and puts his legs up in the air. Some close-up shots and at the end some more and some more precious moments between Dad and daughter, before mum takes Thandie away again. Hopefully you've enjoyed the series as much as I did making it. Orangutans Love Hopping Along Like Frogs

This will be the only other animal video I filmed while at the Munich Hellabrunn Zoo, the Orangutans. It's a shame I didn't have more time, as they were quite funny and with so many youngsters a joy to watch. A family tradition seems to be passed down as many Orangutans seem to do the same thing. It is hopping like a frog. Well, I can't really describe it any other way. They love pushing the wood wool around and while doing so hoping and falling back down on the wood wool. Gorilla Lope Charging Past His Mum, Staring And Beating His Chest At Her

Gorilla Eldest Causes Clash And Revolt Behaviour Towards Her

The eldest Gorilla Neema from the Münchner Tierpark Hellabrunn gets everyone wound up with her charging and causes a noisy clash in the group when they all have a go at her in return. Gorilla Neema chases after the two blackbacks Okanda and Tano. When Okanda stands still, she keeps on chasing Tano. Okanda standing with the back to us watching Tano and Neema. A bit later enough is enough and they turn the table on her. Tano is the first one that has a go at Neema, slaps her with both hands and shows his teeth. Then Okanda comes running up and gives her a hard slap on her back. Tano runs away, Neema follows Tano and Okanda runs after Neema. Okanda jumps up on the rock, showing his teeth to Neema and starts slapping her. Neema isn't a pushover and fights back, slapping Okanda. That's when the youngest female Nafi comes charging and has a go at Neema as well. The youngest female in the group is quite smitten by Okanda and always wants to play with him and she even seems very protective of him. From the right, Tano comes charging now and wrestles Neema. Okanda comes charging again and slaps her with both hands. As quickly as it started, it stops and when Neema gets her lunch all seems forgotten. She's just happy enjoying her food lying on the rocks. As she is the oldest in the group and there isn't a silverback yet, she's most likely trying to see it as her role to keep the two blackbacks in check which backfired a bit today. Cute Stumbling Baby Gorilla Is Having A Play

Lope's baby brother is having a play and a few funny stumbles. Making the most of its time on its own, while mom, dad and Lope are searching for their food that is scattered around the enclosure. Gorillas Upright Walk - Brilliant For Carrying Snow - The GoBros

The Storm Arwen has brought some snow and the gorillas couldn't be happier as they love their cold winter snack. The first winter snow video of our gorillas is about their upright walk (Bipedalism). Why get hands and feet cold when you can walk upright to only get your feet cold instead and of course it makes it handy to carry all the snow in his hand. Gorilla Lope the master in upright walks looks funny walking upright anyway but he's even funnier with his huge chunk of snow in his hand. He dismounts the platform with one hand and holds the snow in the other. Mostly they just get the snow and quickly go back inside into the warm to eat it there. He keeps going in and out to get some more. There are roughly 10-15 minutes in between clips when he's eating the snow inside. My mouth would have gone all numb consuming so much. Can you spot when it's Gorilla Shufai, Lope's smaller brother came out to get his share? Oumbi, their father and silverback is coming out ( more from him in the snow in upcoming weeks). Chimp Gets Injured As Fight Breaks Out At Chimpanzee Eden At Twycross

This isn't hairless chimp Jambo's group of chimpanzees. Chimpanzees Tommy, William and Peter are on their own next door to Jambo at Chimpanzee Eden at Twycross Zoo. It is quite out of character for these three to get into a fight, especially as they all have been castrated which makes them more mellow, but today they really have a go at poor Chimp Tommy.

Peter (ears that stick out to the sides and a grey back) is whacking Tommy repeatedly. William is the one running around the two. When the biting starts, William seems to try to break them apart by stepping in the middle of them, but then William is biting Tommy's hand. William quickly lets off, but Peter is still clinging on to Tommy's back with his teeth. Peter is really going for him and William keeps trying to get into the middle of them both. Peter keeps coming back for more. They wrestle, and William is trying again to get into the middle of the two.

Peter wonders off and William gives Tommy a slap and then he bites Tommy in the back. They all still screaming and you can hear Jambo's group inside screaming as well as they are wondering what is going on outside. Now Peter has come back and is starting on Tommy once more. Tommy doesn't want to defend himself for some reason. Williams's right ear seemed to have a wound. Tommy has a wound on his back and hand. On one side William seems to want to separate the two, but on the other hand, he has a go at Tommy as well. Peter lets off for a second, William sitting on the ribbon, but then he jumps Tommy again and Peter joins again. Peter is biting Tommy's leg, William pulls on Tommy's lip. They stop for a few seconds, but then Peter starts biting again and then he whacks him a few more times on the back.

William steps into the middle again. A few seconds deprive and William checks out Tommy's injury on his back. Peter just doesn't want to let up and has one more go. Tommy still screaming loudly. Peter finally walks off. William does too and lets some steam out by kicking the glass window. Poor Tommy is still screaming his lungs out. William starts running through Chimpanzee Eden. Tommy checked out the wound on his hand. William kicks the window again with both legs. Takes a bunch of wood wool and sways one site to the other. Then he walks towards screaming Tommy and starts swaying in front of him. He carefully approaches Tommy, but Tommy moves away. William looks like he's sorry. He carefully extends his arm towards Tommy's mouth like he wants to apologize. Tommy is still screaming. They are all going inside after this and that gives staff to have a look at any injuries and treat them accordingly. Later on, Tommy is outside again licking his wounds. William and Peter are by the hut. Peter is holding Williams's arm.

Chimpanzees are naturally aggressive and fight to retain their places in the social hierarchy.

The small group was supposed to join Jambo's group, but at the moment I'm not sure if this is still the plan or not. The plans seem to change quite frequently. As always I'll keep everyone informed as soon as I know more.

Update: I have seen them after this happened in September and they all seem fine, no reports of any new fights. Tommy's wounds have healed that much that nothing was visible.

William is Chimpanzee Jambo's half-sibling. They both have the same dad. He was born on the 30th June 1982.

Peter was born on the 9th July 1992 and is Jambo's son.

Tommy is unrelated and was born on the 30th Jan 1995.

Chimpanzee's population is declining mostly through habitat loss.

What do chimpanzees eat? They are omnivores like us humans. They eat fruit, veg, insects and are known to kill small monkeys in the wild.

Chimps - Sometimes You Just Need A Hug

Flynn the Chimpanzee from Twycross Zoo is standing up, scratching himself and then looking at all the people. He starts clapping. In the next clip, something is up with Lottie (Charlotte) as she screams her lungs out and crawls through the grass. It is nothing unusual, Lottie often starts screaming for no apparent reason. Chimpanzee Jomar is quick to respond, running towards her and lending her his back, so she can hug and hold him which reduces her anxiety. Jomar has a look around, but he looks perplexed about what has caused her to react in that way. Job done, and he walks off. Jambo is in the back with Josie, holding his wood wool running to the window hitting it with his elbow and then sitting on the wood wool. When Josie gets spooked ad walks away Jambo gives the people behind the glass a hand flip before they both move away. #SloggerVlogger #SloggerVloggerChimps

Jambo The Hairless Chimp Joins Flynn Kicking Doors

You might have seen Flynn before in my videos. He's quite a sweet chimp when he wants to be. He loves to charge against the window, but when he gets that out of his system, he sits with you and when he has some food and you hold your hand open on the other side of the window, he tries to share his food with you. Today high up on the frame he's starting to hoot and even has a clap. I know he doesn't look very friendly up there, but that's more noise than anything else. On the ground, he's hooting again and runs towards the metal door and kicks it. Jambo the hairless chimps joins him. The first kick was quite tame. Flynn is investigating that door, while Jambo sits down. They move to the other window and Jambo kicks it and they start to hoot again. Jambo moves to the next metal door and kicks this one a few times. It is quite normal for chimpanzees to display, especially just before feeding time. In the end, Flynn has a charge towards me. 8 Year Old Gorilla Is Never Too Old To Get A Slap From Mum

Gorilla Lope, the western lowland gorilla from the Twycross Zoo is annoying his mum again. In the first clip from earlier in the year, he looks like he might be holding open the door for mum, but no, he decides to run and slide down the hill instead. He then sits on the grass, drumming on his chest. The rest of the clips are from this month. Lope does one of his usual things hits something a charges/runs. This time to annoy Ozala again. Then he hits the hut and sits down. He walks down the slope, then starts to run towards his mother slapping her. He continues to annoy his mum by staring at her and having a little charge past her. Ozala sits down and has something to eat and giving Lope the evil eye to the side. Lope starts staring again, Ozala seems to ignore him, but when Lope makes another move she has enough and leaps at him and gives him a whack. Lope disappears around the hut, but has one more charge past his mum. The gorilla current family at Twycross consists of 6 members, which are Oumbi, Ozala, Biddy, Asante, Lope and Shufai Oumbi ( 30 June 1992) Sons : Okanda 17 Apr 2011 born at Twycross Zoo, Hand raised and now at München Hellabrunn Germany. Lope ( 3rd Jan 2013) and Shufai (24th Sep 2016) were both born at Twycross Zoo in England and they are still at the Zoo. Ozala (19 Mar 1994), she had four sons and one daughter. Ozala's first mate was Ti. Ozala and Ti had Matadi on the 25th of May 2003 at Twycross Zoo. Then they had their daughter Ndoki on the 3rd of May 2007, but she sadly died on the 29th Aug 2007, unknown cause. Matadi is at the Antwerp Zoo in Belgium with his mate Mayani and they had a baby girl called Thandie. ( Don't miss the footage from Antwerp on this channel at: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list...) Matadi had another baby girl in June 2020 this time with Mambele and she's called Vizaza. Ti died in 26 Feb 2007, the cause of it was a stroke. Oumbi got moved to Twycross Zoo in 2009 to mate with the females. Ozala was Oumbi chosen mate. Asante (6th Jun 1985) is Ozalas half-sister. She hasn’t got any offspring. Biddy is Ozalas's Mum as she was born in the wild in 1973, there is no record of siblings or parents. Her offspring are Mambie and Ozala.

Longleat Safari Park Hyper Lapse Including Monkey Breaking Wiper

A hyper-lapse drives through the Longleat Safari park. Including the dreaded monkey drive-through, where your car is never safe.The cringing moment at the guys in front as they got their wiper broken. Others have lost rubbers of the windscreen wipers and other rubbery parts like antennas and more. Starting the drive through the safari park with the bongo pass, the African village with giraffes, zebras and ostriches. The ostrich looks like it's chasing the giraffe. Then the Welderbeest, past the zebras again, out of the gate and into the next habitat where we were greeted by an Eland. Then comes the monkey drive-through. Lots of monkeys enjoying the ride on the roof of the car. It must be like a fairground ride to them. Then the white Fiat overtook us and unfortunately the monkeys did their thing chewing on the rubber bits, but worse was to come when one of the monkeys was holding on to his wiper and pulled it down that far that it was all limp. Not sure if this is an easy fix or quite an expensive one. Remember when you see the car whizzing through the drive-through, it is a timelapse and I have cut out some bits as well and replaced some bits as we went through the whole safari three times. Including monkeys, yes the car is still in one piece, not sure how we managed that, but even though is an old car you're still happy to get out at the other end without any damage. Anyway, so we never sped through the drive and were always aware of the monkeys. The Ankole Watusi Cattle came next, then a camel blogged the road. A safari car came and guided it from the road. Then one of the best bit was filming a camel, I told it to give me a smile, and so it did. lol The next stop was the deer family. A quick stop to buy some food. We had the pleasure of feeding the stag with his amazing Antlers. The young buck in front was more interested in the front of our car. Moving on past Anne the Elephant. She was rescued from a circus where they treated her badly. She can now enjoy her new 994m² purpose-built home at Longleat with 24 hours outside access. Past the rhinos and the Bongos. Next are the big cats, of course, windows closed now. First the Tigers, then the lions with the male that couldn't stop yawning and pulling a funny face while doing so. We saw the wolves in the next and last habitat. At the end a quick look at the Longleat house.

4K Abandoned TSS Duke Of Lancaster Including Drone Footage

TSS Duke Of Lancaster was amongst the last passenger-only steamers built for British Railways. 

The Duke of Lancaster arrived in Llanerch-y-Mor, North Wales, in August 1979 to start out her new life as "the Fun Ship". However, there have been frequent legal battles with the native councils and therefore the steam owners closed the business in 2004. As a result of this, the owners "walked away". 

Despite having giant amounts of its exterior paintwork lined in rust, the inside of the ship is in good shape. It had been featured within the 2011 series of BBC Two's Coast.

Gorilla Surrage Mum Gets Told By Staff To Get Baby Hasani

The staff want to feed Baby gorilla Hasani, but he has other ideas and goes playing. So they're telling Kera to get him. Kera promptly goes and tries to get him, but Hasani is too quick for her, going to the other end of the rope. On the other side she manages to get him and takes him to the keepers. She lets go of him and seems to want her reward, but Hasani uses that opportunity to get away again and climbs up to the ledge. They tell Kera again to get him. So Kera goes off looking for him. Hasani quickly tries to cross the room on the rope again. Kera tries to grab his foot, but he gets away again. Kera pulls him up on the other side and takes him back down to the keepers. If you look quickly the keepers have a bottle of milk in their hand, but he just doesn't seem to want any. Playing is much more fun. So off he goes again. Kera gets her treat and the keepers gave up for now, they just have to try later. Kera goes down to the bottom to make her bed. Hasani looking down from the ledge and then has a play. Please be aware, in next week's video, it might be upsetting as surrogate mum Kera tells Hasani off by shaking him. Hasani seems upset and you just want to give him a big hug, but mum Kala does take over. Jambo Takes His Time To Sort His Unsettled Noisy Group

Jambo the hairless chimpanzee is outside with Chimp Jomar. The inside is very noisy as it always is before feeding time or because of the new female Samantha. Jambo is taking its time to get inside. He looked rather relaxed, but not for much longer. The first frame inside shows Kibali. Jambo's rival was supposed to take over the group, but hasn't managed it yet as Jambo has still the support of most of the females. Kibali in the back is going up on the rope. He jumps down at the same time as Jomar comes towards me from the right. Kibali and Jomar jump back up onto the rope. I'm not 100% sure, but I think it's Samathma, the new female to the group by the door with the grey back. Then Jambo comes in chases Samatha. Jomar is right in front of me. Showing his teeth. Samantha is coming up on the right. When Jomar jumps down, Samatha is in view and above her, I think it's Charlotte (Lottie). Lottie and Samantha have a go at each other when Samatha has a poo mid-air😁. On the back rope is Kibali. He's just watching. Jambo has another run at the bottom and if you look to the back, Genet, Jambo's sister is by the left door and on the right door it's Flynn. After the last video, I got frustrated with myself that I only knew the main characters from Jambo's group. Next time I'll visit and the gorillas having their snooze, I will test my new found knowledge out if I got it all correct. If I got something wrong I will correct it. Hairless Chimp Jambo Gets Bitten In The Butt

Some noise outside the Chimpanzee enclosure and Hairless chimp Jambo get bitten in the bum. It's a gentle bite, and the other chimp seems to want Jambo to do the same as he turns around. Jambo doesn't bite him, but he seems to have his hands somewhere instead. That's chimps for you. Some more noise and then back inside for the chimps. Jambo who has alopecia, a form of hair loss was born on the 9th June 1982. He has a daughter named Genet. A brown chimp with a bald back). His mum is Coco was born in 1965. Coco's offspring are Jambo and his half-sister Charlotte. She was born on 28 Sep 1978 and there is a male called Kip that is supposed to be there too, but records are pretty outdated and to be honest, I'm not familiar with this name and don't think he's still at Twycross. I might be wrong. It is a big group and some chimps are still in the second group which I'm not that familiar with. Jambo has more siblings at Twycross from his father's side who are William born on the 30th of June 1982, Holly was born on the 27th of December 1982 and Jomar was born on the 28th of December 1990. He started to lose his ear in November 2018, when he had a fight and his mum Coco ripped it. Jambo The Hairless Chimpanzee Fooling Around

He lost one of his ears presumably during a fight while defending his alpha position as you probably saw in one of my newer videos of him. The gorilla current family at Twycross consists of 6 members, which are Oumbi, Ozala, Biddy, Asante, Lope and Shufai Oumbi ( 30 June 1992) Sons : Okanda 17 Apr 2011 Hand raised now at München Hellabrunn Germany) Lope ( 3rd Jan 2013) and Shufai (24th Sep 2016) both born at Twycross Zoo in England and they are still at the Zoo. For some reason Shufai is known in the studbook as MIJADALA (Mija)! Ozala (19 Mar 1994) , she had three sons and one daughter. Ozalas first mate was Ti . Ozala and Ti had Matadi on the 25th May 2003. Then they had their daughter Ndoki on the 3rd of May 2007, but she sadly died on the 29th Aug 2007, unknown cause. Matadi is at the Antwerp Zoo in Belgium. Ti died in 26 Feb 2007, the cause of it was a stroke. Oumbi got moved to Twycross Zoo in 2009 to mate with the females. Ozala was Oumbi chosen mate. Asante (6th Jun 1985) is Ozalas half sister. She hasn’t got any offspring. Biddy is Ozalas Mum as she was born in the wild during 1973, there is no record of siblings or parents. Her offspring’s are Mambie and Ozala. #CheekyGorillaLope #SloggerVlogger

Jambo The Hairless Chimp Runs Upright And Pushes Enrichment

Jambo the Hairless chimp with alopecia does a funny upright run. Head down and runs towards the enrichment made out of fire hoses and pushes it, like it's nothing. There is a bit of friction in the group at the moment as they are still introducing the female Samantha to the group. Jambo who has alopecia, a form of hair loss was born on the 9th June 1982. He has a daughter named Genet. A brown chimp with a bald back). His mum is Coco was born in 1965. Coco's offspring are Jambo and his half-sister Charlotte. She was born on 28 Sep 1978. Jambo has more siblings at Twycross from his father's side who is William born on the 30th of June 1982, Holly was born on the 27th of December 1982 and Jomar was born on the 28th of December 1990. He started to lose his ear in November 2018, when he had a fight and his mum Coco ripped it. Twycross zoo tried to glue it back on with skin glue, but unfortunately, as time went past he picked on it that much that he lost all of it. Silverback Back To His Old Charging Self After Hay Fever

Silverback Oumbi from the Twycross zoo in England is all back to his old self. No more hayfever ( Last video of Oumbi). The pollen count has gone down after a few showers. It looks like he wants to make up for lost time and has little charges throughout the day. He's coming out for his lunch, closely followed by Biddy. The two boys playing by the hut. He picks up some salad leaves and then charges in the other direction. Grandma Biddy sitting in the grass. Another little charge for the Silverback and hitting the climbing frame. A grunt at his mate Ozala, but nothing happens. A bit later Oumbi is outside again and walking behind the hut with Ozala eating on the other side. When she sees Oumbi coming round, she moves away. Oumbi follows, sees her has a little muscle twitch in his leg but decides against charging again. Inside, he's positioned himself so that he's ready to charge if needed. When he does charge I believe it's towards Asante, but nothing happens. Just Oumbi probably wanting to feel like the boss again after his hayfever episode and feeling a little weak. #SloggerVlogger #SilverbackOumbi #GorillaOumbi

The Chimpanzees from the Twycross zoo at Atherstone, England. Jambo and Mongo, a father and son duo are suffering from alopecia, which is the general medical term for hair loss.

Gorilla Hasani Growing Up

Kala was born on the 11th of December 2010 in Hannover. She's the newest member of the group as she joined on the 16.October 2018. She was pregnant in Sep 2019, but sadly lost the baby. The cause of death is unknown. On August 19th 2020 Kala gave birth to baby Hasani. Unfortunately she couldn’t feed him properly and is being hand-raised by Bristol Zoo staff members. In May 2021 Kera showed interest in Hasani and became the new surrogate mother of the little boy.
