The Juggle Master #Shorts

via IFTTT I've seen a lot of cute Otters juggle, but this one is not content in playing with little pebbles. He's showing off with a big stone like it is his daily weight lifting session. He's already very impressive even though he might need some more practice.

Orangutan Jim Inherited The Two Nipples From His Mum #shorts #orangutan

via IFTTT Orangutan baby Jim inherited his mum's double nipple called a supernumerary nipple. A common abnormality that you might have heard from celebs like Harry Styles, Lily Allen, Bill Paxton, Tilda Swinton and Mark Wahlberg have all extra nipples. So Jazz isn't alone. Apparently, extra nipples usually occur in a line below the normal nipples and are nothing to worry about. #SloggerVlogger #OrangutanBaby #BabyOrangutan Orangutan Mother Jazz (30) from the Dudley zoo became super mum as she's not just looking after her own baby boy Jim born (born 25th of June 2022), now she's looking after her daughter's newborn baby Joe (born 23rd July 2022) as well, as her daughter found first-time motherhood a little bit challenging. When her daughter Sprout gave birth she walked away and left the baby on the floor. Mother Jazz picked the baby up straight away. Jazz is nursing both and giving both love, care and attention. Flanged Orangutan male Djimat is the dad of both babies. Make sure to watch the two babies grow up. Heartwarming Gorilla Father and Son Moment

via IFTTT Gorilla Baby Santu is sitting in front of his dad. When the silverback moves, he gets himself the hose to lie on, supporting his head with his arm and looking into his son's eyes. Such a great father-and-son moment. Santu seems to pull on his dad's arm. Santu moves when Dad flicks his finger. His little tongue pokes out. He sits down beside his dad. Bobóto, Santu's half-brother, walks towards the baby. Santu moves to the back as Bobóto seems to carefully walk behind the silverback. When he comes back around, he has his half-brother Santu on his back. He still walks carefully behind Kidogo's back and keeps an eye on the big fellow. Once past him, Santu slides off his brother's back and tries to make a run for it, but Bobóto pulls him back. He pulls Santu's arm, and a moment later, Santu is riding on his brother's back again. Bobóto tries to get him off, but Santu tries to hold on. It's probably safer on his back to get pulled by the arm. I think it's Santu's mum that moves to the platform. Santu slides off Bobóto's back, and the older gorilla drags his little arm again. Santu tries to bite him. "Bobóto, be careful what you do to your little brother; they tend to get their revenge when they are older lol." Some more leg pulling, and then they disappear from camera view. Orangutan Sprout's Has Her Own Way With Her Son

via IFTTT Orangutan Sprout has her son above her head, pulling on his legs. After she pulls him down into her arms Joe crawls away from her but turns around to have another look. He joins an eating Jazz, his surrogate mum and her son Jim. Sprout, Jazz's daughter wasn't far behind. She rolls onto her back and grabs her son, playfully biting him and pulling him again. Don't worry if it would hurt him I'm sure Jazz would step. Sprout definitely has to learn how to carry her baby and in the next clip carrying him like that just shows how inexperienced she is. At lunchtime, the babies are playing. They just had a yoghurt inside and Joe is now playing with the empty pot. Jim tries to take the pot of Joe and manages it in the end. Dad Dijmat is in the background. When Jazz is ready to move to the new part of the enclosure she collects both the babies and puts them in her arms. #SloggerVlogger #OrangutanBaby #BabyOrangutan Orangutan Mother Jazz (30) from the Dudley Zoo became super mum as she's not just looking after her own baby boy Jim (born 25th of June 2022), now she's looking after her daughter's newborn baby Joe (born 23rd July 2022) as well, as her daughter found first-time motherhood a little bit challenging. Gorilla Shufai Has A Bucket Full Of Fun - Feat. Silverback Oumbi

via IFTTT Gorilla Shufai kept himself entertained with some buckets and tried not to get soaked. This was filmed before he had his 7th birthday yesterday ( 24th Sep 2023) Twycross Zoo staff put some buckets of water in their enclosure as it was quite hot. They do have a fresh drinking water tab inside as well. Gorilla Shufai keeps himself busy now his brother Lope lives at the bachelor pad. He pushes over one of the buckets and spills the water. He then tries to rip one of the buckets off the chain. When that doesn't work he stands on it but he slides off. He quickly inspects his foot which probably got caught on the edge of the bucket. All is good, so he steps on the bucket once more and then bites it. Afterwards, he moves onto the big blue bucket which is full of water. I don't think he was expecting it as he tries to pull it and some of the content nearly soaks him. He moves the bucket around a bit more but then returns to the little bucket. Standing and sitting on it. He goes back to the big bucket and beats his chest at it. He moves it and gets a bit of a surprise when the water is delayed in splashing out. He moves away, takes a water bottle and has his aubergine lunch. Silverback Oumbi watching as he comes outside. If you're wondering about Lope. He's doing fine in his bachelor pad. I will try and get some footage of him as soon as I can. Unfortunately, I've been a bit under the weather. So I'm working hard to catch up. #GorillaShufai #Gorillas #TwycrossZoo Stay connected and never miss a moment! More From The Twycross Zoo Baby Pileated Gibbon

via IFTTT Here's additional footage featuring the recently born Pileated Gibbon infant at Twycross Zoo, UK. This adorable baby gibbon, born on August 28, 2023, is lovingly cradled by its mother, Valeria. The dad is called Helmut. Habitat: Pileated gibbons are found in Southeast Asia, primarily in countries such as Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam. They inhabit dense tropical rainforests and are highly arboreal, meaning they spend most of their lives in the trees. #gibbon #babygibbon #babyanimals Physical Characteristics: Pileated gibbons are small apes with distinctive features. They have long, slender arms and no tail. Their fur colouration can vary, but it often includes black, dark brown, or greyish fur with a lighter face and hands. One of their most remarkable features is their white cheeks and throat, which make them easily recognizable. Adult males and females have different fur colourations. Adult males are typically black with white facial markings, while adult females are a lighter colour with dark facial markings. Behaviour: Pileated gibbons are known for their incredible agility and ability to swing through the trees using their long arms. They are highly territorial and communicate with loud vocalizations that can be heard over long distances. These gibbons are monogamous, forming strong bonds with a single mate. They often have a single offspring, and the family unit is crucial to their social structure. Their diet primarily consists of fruit, leaves, and other plant materials. Conservation Status: Pileated gibbons, like many other gibbon species, face threats such as habitat loss due to deforestation and illegal wildlife trade. They are classified as Endangered on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List of Threatened Species. Conservation efforts are in place to protect their habitat and combat illegal trade to ensure the survival of these remarkable primates. Observing Pileated gibbons in their natural habitat or at accredited zoos, like Twycross Zoo, provides valuable insights into their behaviour and highlights the importance of conserving their fragile ecosystems. #PileatedGibbons #gibbons #babyanimals Stay connected and never miss a moment! Introducing The Gorilla Troop From The Krefeld Zoo In Germany (more info in the description)

via IFTTT Meet the Gorillas from the Krefeld Zoo in Germany! A new troop to the channel. Putting a name to their faces in this introduction video. The new Thursday series. There will be another four videos and then another Gorilla troop that I haven't filmed will follow this series. The troop of seven gorillas live in the area called the Gorilla Garden. Meet Silverback Gorilla Kidogo, Gorilla Oya, Muna and son Santu. Gorilla Miliki and sons Pepe, Bobóto. Kidogo was born on November 15th 2000 at the Givskud Zoo in Denmark. Gorilla Oya was born on June 9th 1988 at the Zoo Zürich Switzerland. Gorilla Muna was born on March 6th 1989 at the Zoo Basel Switzerland. Her son Santu was born on July 14th 2021. Miliki was born on February 20th 2006 at La Vallée des Singes in France. Her son Pepe was born on May 6th 2015 and Bobóto on December 21st 2018. Both were born at Krefeld Zoo in Germany. @feliciacraite Guessed correctly on my community page who the Silverback is. 😁 Filmed through a tire, little Satu is watching Dad Kidogo. Mother Muna is coming up right behind Dad and after her son glances up at her, she picks him up and they have some lunch. Gorilla Oya is next up, the first thing you notice is her stiff finger. Quite a common injury in Gorillas it seems. Kera in Bristol and the little Aaarde at Chessington Zoo have the same injuries. Oya enjoys the bark of a stick and later a German turnip (Kohlrabi). Miliki has her food stuck in her teeth and she's trying to get it out. Pepe is munching on his food. He kind of reminds me a bit of a younger Lope. Last but not least Gorilla youngster Bobóto. As it was just a brief visit I didn't get the chance to film too much of the troop. When I was there, the outside had been shut off and they were building the new outdoor habitat for the great apes. I was a bit too early as they are planning to open the new habitat on Gorilla Day on the 24th of September 2023. You can have a quick look at the outside on my other channel, the travel channel in a hyper-lapse walkthrough of the zoo at: https://youtu.be/SVG-9jLGDkE #KrefeldZoo #Gorillas #Introduction You might have heard about the Krefeld Zoo in the news when they had the awful tragedy on New Year's Eve, December 31, 2019. A fire broke out due to Chinese lanterns and 30 animals lost their lives including Gorillas, Chimpanzees, Orangutans, silvery marmosets, white-faced sakis endangered golden-lion tamarins, fruit bats, reptiles and birds. A horrendously sad day that many of us never forget. The firefighters managed to prevent the flames from spreading from the ape house to the Gorilla garden. This is where Silverback Kidogo had his troop of seven are housed. Tambo (Muna's first son) moved in September 2020 to Zoo Safari de Thoiry.

Gorilla Lope's Upright Swagger Through the Rain

via IFTTT Another look back. *It's raining quite severely and Lope is again away from the rest of the family. He stayed in the cave to take cover from the rain and the wind. * Lope is lying on the straw in the cave, yawning, and wiggling about. Even though it's raining he does come out and walks upright through the wet grass with his swagger. He has looked through the window, but Oumbi, his silverback dad must have been there so he swaggers back to the cave wiping his head from the rain. He comes back out again when he thinks the rain calmed down a bit but soon notices that it's still quite heavy, so he goes back into the cave again. It doesn't take long until he tries again. He climbs up the slope, walks around the hut and looks through the window first if Dad Oumbi is anywhere near the door. He must have been further away or asleep as Lope gets to go inside without any incident. Late afternoon, and beautiful sunshine now. Lope is back in the cave looking a bit bored. Shufai his younger brother is checking up on him, having a look from above the cave. When Shufai goes back inside, Lope comes outdoors to have a look. On zooming closer in you can see Gorilla Asante looking out of the window. At feeding time the staff is throwing the food over the barriers instead of locking the gorillas away as it becomes increasingly more difficult with Silverback Oumbie and Lope. As the rest of the family feeds on the left side. Lope stays on the other side. Asante has a quick look out of the door, but when she sees Ozala goes back in. Biddy is in the distance when Oumbi is on the left, Shufai is in the middle and Lope is on the right sucking his thumb. Lope runs past Shufai as soon as his dad is inside. Asante came back out on the other site and Ozala, the boy's mum is chasing Lope away. Every time I visit you notice more and more that Lope is separating from his family. Lope is 10 years old and ready to leave the family. At the time of writing, it hasn't been decided where he will go. #gobros #sloggervloggergorillas As you might know, Lope is now in his bachelor's Pad. This was filmed end of July 2023. From Frail To Fluffy - Gorilla Baby Hasani

via IFTTT *Looking at Baby Hasini from when he was born to the time they closed Bristol Zoo (moving hopefully next 2024 to their new place "Bristol Zoo Project" * An older video but unseen footage from Bristol Zoo. This is going back to when Hasani was born. He was pretty fragile and Kala found it difficult looking after him and feeding him. He was so tiny. Staff did take over in the end and hand-reared him. The staff trained Kera the other female Gorilla in the troop to take over as a surrogate mother when Hasani was a bit older. Kera and Hasani had some difficult times as well as she seemed stressed sometimes, but in the end, it all worked out. Hasani grew strong and independent. His birth mum Kala started to take a bit more interest as well. It was more like a playmate than a son, but Kera and Kala started to share looking after Hasani. Kera does love her food and when she left Hasani behind in favour of food, Kera would come and play with him for a bit. Kala sits in the grass not really sure what to do with her baby. She flops his head up and you hope he's going to be OK and just want to see him moving. She then puts him on her back upside down and he clings on to her. So he seems OK. Hasani grew into a super cute baby boy. The next bit is after the staff integrated Hasani back into the family Kera the surrogate Mum has Hasani clinging on to her leg. Hasani lets go and is now between Kera and Kala. Kala his birth mum is coming closer, and behind her is Touni with her son Juni. Hasani feels the tension coming from Touni and Kala and crouches into the grass. Kala climbs on the big log and beats her chest. Hasani runs towards her after she jumped off the log. Touni has a look at what Kera is doing. Little Juni on her back with his great big beautiful eyes always looking around, taking everything in. Touni is a much more experienced mum having had her daughter Ayana. Kala still has Hasani on her back, while Kera is busy at lunchtime gathering all the food she can get. If you've been following the gorillas you might know that they are still in the closed Bristol Zoo. They are getting a new enclose built in 2024 and that's when they will be moved to the new Bristol Zoo just outside the city centre. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to visit any other gorilla troops as I concentrated on Twycross Zoo with Gorilla Lope leaving this year. If you would like to know the Bristol Zoo gorilla Family more, check out this introduction video: https://youtu.be/I5IejS2QY4w and some more info here: The first Gorilla arrived at Bristol Zoo on 8th September 1930 named Alfred. The Zoo itself opened on July 11th 1836! The first gorilla birth was on March 6th 1971. Currently, there are 8 gorillas at the Bristol Zoo. Starting off with Jock the Silverback. He was born on May 31st 1983 at Zoo La Palmyre. He got moved to the Bristol Zoo on the 25.June 2003. His offspring are Namoki, Komale, Kukena, Afia, Ayana, Hasani and Juni. Kera was born on August 26th 2004 at the Parc Zoológic de Barcelona. She moved to the Bristol Zoo on the 08.September.2008. Her offspring is Afia. Afia was born by emergency cesarean section at Bristol Zoo on the 12th of February 2016 after her mother, Kera, showed symptoms of potentially life-threatening pre-eclampsia. She had to be hand-raised. Gorilla Romina took an interest in Afia when the keepers walked past her with Afia in their arms. So Afia was slowly introduced to Romina and in October started bonding with her surrogate mother. Kera did recover after being ill for a while but didn't recognize Afia as her daughter. Romina took over to raise her, but sadly they had to put her to sleep in Aug 2018 because she had an advanced large cancerous mass in her abdomen. Afia by then was part of the group and Dad Jock and the other females looked after her. Touni was born on the 12th of December 2007 at the La Vallée des Singes and moved to the Bristol Zoo on the 28.September 2015. Her daughter is Ayana who was born on the 22nd of April 2017. On 22 December 2020, Touni gave birth to the second baby gorilla for Bristol Zoo that year during covid lockdown and he has named a combination of his Mother’s and Father's name, Juni. Kala was born on the 11th of December 2010 in Hannover. She's the newest member of the group as she joined on the 16.October 2018. She was pregnant in Sep 2019 but sadly lost the baby. The cause of death is unknown. On August 19th 2020 Kala gave birth to baby Hasani. Unfortunately, she couldn’t feed him properly and is being hand-raised by Bristol Zoo staff members. In May 2021 Kera showed interest in Hasani and became the new surrogate mother of the little boy.

Playful Orangutan Baby Wrestling and Playtime with Jim and Joe

via IFTTT Orangutan Babies Jim (1) and Joe (1) are having a wrestling match. Little Jim is moving off to get a piece of paper. He returns to the strap. Swinging on it and bumping into Joe. Joe bites Jim playfully. Jim does the same to him, but still tries to keep hold of his little paper piece. Joe pulls Jim off the strap. Jim loses his paper. They crawl back to Jazz. A little later Jazz got hold of the piece of paper. Jim tries to get it back off her and manages to rip half away. He goes back to play. After I changed my battery Jim rolled his piece of paper into a ball and is chewing on it. In the end, the babies have another play on the strap. Jambo the Hairless Chimpanzee A Calm Outdoor Wander

via IFTTT Hairless chimpanzee Jambo roams outside. Always good to be able to see them outside. Like all other animals, they do prefer to stay indoors. The condition outside has to be just right for the chimps to come outside. Not too warm, not too cold, not too windy..... As I prefer to take videos outside of the animals, it's quite challenging to get the right moments, but it's nice to see everything calm and no fights. It always gets noisy when it's food time, but that is rather normal, it's all the excitement. In this video, Jambo just has a quiet wander. Make sure to hit that subscribe button and enable all notifications so you never miss a thing. We've got an exciting lineup for you, with brand-new videos and shorts dropping seven times a week. Gorilla Life at Twycross Zoo: Lopes' Growth and Family Antics

via IFTTT *Explore Twycross Zoo's latest update featuring Lope's remarkable growth and heartwarming family moments. Witness Ozala's elegant water-drinking and Biddy's roll in the grass as Oumbi approaches. Don't miss this gorilla-filled adventure!* I visited Twycross Zoo again after my 2 weeks away and of course, the first point of call was Gorilla Lope (10). He seems like he's grown quite a bit in the two weeks I was away. His chest and head are getting mind-boggling big. As it was quite a hot day, he didn't move too much, but he seemed so much more relaxed, sitting outside enjoying his food. His eyebrow scrapes healed nicely. The second part of the video is from his family in the old/usual enclosure. Oumbi (31) has a little charge towards Biddy (49). As she tries to get out of his way she rolls through the grass. She seems perfectly fine and just continues eating afterwards. Ozala made me smile when she got a bottle of water ( they do have a fresh drinking water pipe inside as well), She took it and drank it so elegantly. Biddy watched Asante move. Shufai comes from the back following his aunt, walks upright and beats his chest at her. He's coming back up the hill and Biddy is looking into the water-filled barrel enrichment. She fishes out an aubergine and a bottle of water. She has a little sip and then tucks into the aubergine. Oumbi is approaching again but then turning away leaving Biddy to eat in peace. Her eyes following the Silverback. Followed by some more clips from Lope in his bachelor pad from just before my trip. In case you missed the community post: RUMOUR NEWS: Lope's move... As the rumour is pretty widespread now, and I've heard it from many different angles, and it's apparently already confirmed by a keeper, I thought I'd let you know that he might be moving to France, to the Zoo du Bassin d’Arcachon. This is not confirmed, and it could change! It is very likely to be true if you put all the pieces together, like a new habitat for two bachelor groups, but I myself haven't had any confirmation on this yet! It looks like Zoo du Bassin d’Arcachon has built a "Gorilla Camp" which is supposed to house two different bachelor groups. The first silverback has already moved in, and his name is Awali. He will be joined by two unknown blackbacks. Silverback Dishi is the second silverback who will also be joined by two blackbacks. If/when I get confirmation, I will do some research on all the gorillas and give you more information. #Gorillas #gorillalope #primates Stay connected and never miss a moment! Gorilla Babies Wrestle, Sister Defends Brother

via IFTTT Gorilla Babies Juni and Hasani have a wrestling match, that's until Ayana comes running and defends her brother Juni, but watch closely as an adult hand appears and she gets pushed away. I think it's Kera, Hasani's Surrogate Mum. Hasani is the one that sits by the door frame. This video was filmed in January 2021. As an inner-city zoo, it didn't have a place to expand. That's why they are relocating some of the animals like this gorilla family to the outside of Bristol to a place called Wildlife Place Project, now Bristol Zoo Project. They stated that they are going to start building in 2024. So it will still be a while until they have moved. Gorilla Lope Gets Frustrated At The Closed Doors

via IFTTT Gorilla Lope from the Twycross Zoo is having a look for some food. Standing up to get a better look. He first sits beside his Aunt Asante, gets up and gets into his aunt's face. Not sure if he's trying to make her feel insecure, testing her. Asante keeps cool and just keeps eating her food. Lope finally lets off his stare and sits down. In the next bit, it's cleaning/dinner time. Normally when the inside gets cleaned everyone is locked into the back room, but because Oumbi wants his son to stay away more and more now, especially at feeding times, they lock Lope outdoors on his own and the other family members are in the backroom so they can clean the middle, their main area inside. This makes Lope understandably quite unhappy. Lope has always been the one that wanted to be in the middle of everything and now things have changed it gets him frustrated. So he lets it out on the locked door flap. Beating his chest as he sees the staff cleaning the inside, but he can't see his family. He moves back and forward from the window behind the door flap to check the door.
