Is it food time?? Oh yes it is! The adorable baby elephant is running noisily through the enclose to get to the food that is hidden in a pile of sand. The calf runs all the way to the food trumpeting very loudly.
This is one of the two rare asian baby elephants that was born in space of a month at the Chester Zoo in England.
Update 26th October 2018:
I'm sorry to have to tell you some very very sad news. The lovely and feisty Aayu and his big half sister Nandita have passed away on the 25th of October 2018 from the terrible Elephant disease. The (endotheliotropic herpesvirus (EEHV) which is carried by both captive and wild elephants is always been fatal, but Chester zoo still tried everything they could to save them, including blood transfusion.
RIP little Aayu and Nandita! 😢
