On this occasion, he thought it would be a good idea to pull his half-brother, Baby Upendi, through the grass. His intention was to play with Upendi, but it was evident that Upendi was trying to escape. Eventually, Upendi managed to break free and ran towards their mother, who was sitting nearby. Surprisingly the adult females allowed the youngsters to continue their antics. Before long, the young bonobo caught up with Upendi once again, and this time he grabbed his little foot, initiating another playful interaction. However, it seemed that Upendi found the rough play overwhelming and attempted to flee once more. Despite Upendi's efforts to escape, the adolescent bonobo persisted, gripping onto his foot and engaging in a playful struggle.
